Chronic Radiculopathy

Lack of pain relief from nerve decompression- chronic radiculopathy- This is a condition that can occur with a significant compression to a nerve. Normally, compression causes temporary aggravation of the nerve. When the compression is removed, the nerve generally recovers. However, if the nerve is not just stretched but internally damaged (scarred) by the compression, removing the compression will not be enough to allow the nerve to recover and continued pain can be the result.
